Windows Media Center for Win7 cannot be started

Windows Media Center appears to be installed on my PC because Window Media Center is checked in the Control Panel>Programs>Program and Features>Window Features. However, I cannot find Windows Media Center under Start>All Programs.

I have also tried to start from C:\Windows\ehome\ehshell but didn't work.

How can I start Windows Media Center?

Definitely should not be the case. The Green Button icon is certainly supposed to be present if WMC is installed.

This method of starting WMC works for me. What happens when you try it? Any messages?

Anything in the Event Viewer to indicate a problem somewhere?

What is your monitor and your graphics card, and how is the monitor connected to the card video card? There might be an HDCP/DRM issue. Might need DVI or HDMI.
