Can't get WMP to apply "S/PDIF" for DVDs
I use the S/PDIF for audio, which I route through a D/A converter to my stereo. I use WinTV for TV and I can set the audio to use the S/PDIF rather than just the HDMI cable. So the audio and visuals are split, which is convenient because I don't have to change inputs on the D/A converter. I've tried to do that on Media Player;s DVD settings so I can do the same convenient thing when watching DVDs. But under Tools/Options/DVD/Advanced, while I have these options: Headphones, 2-channel stereo, 5.1 Channels1, 7.1 Channels and S/PDIF, I can't choose anything at all activates the "APPLY" button so it's stuck on "2-channel stereo." Any ideas how I can change the setting?
