Laptop not connecting as a media server

Firstly, Happy New Year

Hi there..I have managed to connect my pc to my PS3 using PS3 media server...I now am trying to do the same thing with my laptop with no joy. I keep getting the error message "access to the media server is not allowed. It is possible that the system name for this PS3 ******* has not been registered. Check the settings for the media server..."

I have done exactly what I did with my pc and this time it's not working..I have set my laptop too be found in fact the PS3 picks up two media servers. I have allowed what files need too be shared and ticked the media streaming box. I can access my pc files no problem..just not my lap top..any help on this would be most welcomed.

Regards in advance..
