    does WMC need to be running to record?


    I know this is a very basic question-- If it's noon and I set WMC to record an OTA show at 3pm, and close WMC, will it still record?

    Yes it will.
    As long as your PC is turned on, it will record.

    You will see a red sphere next to the clock area when it is recording.
