Windows 7: cannot get internet tv

hello all

i just installed windows seven and have tried to get the internet tv option to install in media center to no avail. ive been through the help website and still nothing. I tried to force update media center 4-5 time now. I left it on for two days. restarted the setup 4 times. still nothing. It doesnt show up under tv like its supposed to once you open and go through the set up. I am definately set to allow internet downloads i n the setup at the original media center setup. can someone please help me out

I'm having the same thing happen too maybe the Ver in the RTM was a Beta as that was the last place I saw it. I'm in the UK

That would be strange for them to do. Correct me if im wrong but hasnt internet tv been around in media center for a little while. I would put nothing past them though.

If your correct, there should be an update or finished version somewhere to download and i haven't seen it.
The other thing i was thinking was that maybe some country arent allowed to have this option for some reason. I live in canada and ive seen this before with other website that allow you to watch episodes on the net. I wonder if theres a way to try to fool the program into thinking im in the USA to see what happens.

I'm in Canada and I've been trying for hours to find Internet TV option also. Glad 'm not alone. I read a post that said not available in UK though. Funny Microsoft not more open about where this is available, if anywhere. You just let you go to their help pages and pull your hair out. Nice

Does your Computer have a TV tuner. If not you have to install one before you get TV.

I dont believe that you need a tv tuner for internet tv, it comes from the internet.
I tried change=ing all of my settings to "English United states" from English canada. bothing windows and internet explorer. I then tried to set up media center again and this time used a us zip code to set up a tuner. I got the internet tv option now. but none of the programs will play off the guide, it keeps saying that it isnt availanle in my service area.

Well you made more progress at getting the Internet TV option than I did. Congrats. It's certainly a lot of hard work.

Same issue here for me in UK. Was last showing the bete 2 internet tv option a few weeks ago, but the option has now vanished. I have ran the updat in MC

Hi guys im pretty new new to all this and was wondering if anyone could pleeeeeeeeeeeeease give me some help. I recently downloaded windows 7 replacing the pre installed vista that came with my sony viao fw21l laptop. The main reason i bought 7 was that i watch loads of internet tv. I am in the uk, have a 6mbps wiresless broadband connection and i have tried to manually install updates for the tv guide in media center many times. I get an option for guide but all it brings uop when i click on it is the sky player channels and nothing else. The guide i saw in the demo had loads of options for searching and many many free channels. All i have is the sky player ones (that you have to subscribe to), no options for searching and no programme guide? If anyone can help me with this please let me know as i'll be pretty gutted if i cant get this aspect of 7 running as it was my main incentive to upgrade. Hope to hear from anyone who can help. Did anybody figure out this problem? I too cannot see the internet tv option. All I can see is Sky TV which you have to be subscribed too. I thought the whole point of this was to be able to view all your internet favourites under one roof?

Any ideas?
