media center schedule keeps recording a show not on the schedule

    Hello,
Does anyone know how I can clear out the areas that media center maintains for a show that it keeps trying to schedule. Now I already used the settings path to remove the schedule, the view scheduled shows empty yet the show seems to still record. I have tried then adding the show to record and then cancle it thinking it would clear out the files MC uses. Somehow I clicked on record series for one of those gov stations that has hourly broadcasts but the title is the same for all 285 events causing no diferrentiation and while it was in the middle of marking it to record, I realized my mistake and forced MC to close down the hard way. So somehow I have data in the scheduler somewhere that is not being tied to i.e. trying to schedule as if new and deleting the schedule in hopes of clearing out the corrupt area for this one station. Any ideas short of installing MC again?

I fixed it myself by doing the following.
1-shut down all MC services including things like remote potato if you use it
2-go to this directory and rename the mcepg2-0.db file to something else, C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome
    3-restart MC services
    4-rescan your tuners
    5-redownload the guide
6-reselect your series schedules if you have any, etc.
It appears the .db file had some corrupted information from the sdenario of a generic title serices (public local station for say town meetings that just says Goverment Access or such) that I tried to close out of cause the record series by accident was taking so long to finish..turns out to be 285 programs is was setting up and in my impatience I forced WMC to force close which I think caused the limbo state in the .db.
All is well now and the program no longer continues to record erroneously. Hope this helps someone to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling MC which was my goal not to have to do.
