Files not found!!

Hi - I have just built a machine using a mini-itx mobo, i7 etc for use mainly as a htpc. I installed Win7 HP, and all seemed to be going reasonably well. I now find that Media Centre simply will not find all the music files on the NAS. I have stopped and restarted services etc, but it just will not find all the files. For example, I have a directory called Cream; inside that directory, MC finds 'Best Of Cream' but steadfastly refuses to 'discover' Wheels Of Fire. I installed XBMC, which discovered all the files and plays them without further ado (I should mention that WMC has had no difficulty discovering all the movies on the NAS). I haven't had this problem before, and I may very well just stick with XBMC, especially as there are add-ons for the microsoft remote etc, and in may ways XBMC is superior anyway. But I'm puzzled and intrigued (as well as somewhat irritated!) by this problem. Any WMC gurus out there with an idea on this?
