    Media Center 'losing' music library

    Hi all,

I've been using windows 7 for about a week now, and love it. I have a new HTPC linked up to my LCD TV for listening to music, watching movies etc.

The problem I am having with Media center is that it keeps losing my music library. Each time I boot up and go into MC, it says nothing has been added to the library yet, and I have to go into 'tasks', and delete, then re-add my music folder to get to my music. This only appears to be happening with the music files, not my movie files.

Any help with this would be great, as it's driving me mad having to do this each time I want to listen to my music!

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

Oooo, I'm not sure. Fast setup I think. I don't remember doing a customize setup.

I've had this happen aa few times, in both Vista and W7. What I usually do is just back out using the remote (back to the root menu) and then select Music again and - Hey Presto! All my albums are back. But I guessed you've tried that..?

I once had a similar problem in Vista 32 with Media Player + Media Centre. It kept losing the contents or not showing it at all.
Turned out the library file had become corrupt.

    I solved this Problem by:

    1: delete contents of
    C:\Users\**YOUR ACCOUNT**\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player
2:Folder "AppData"is a hidden file so you need to alter FOLDER OPTIONS.
    Then re-create library.

    Hope this helps.
