NO NEW features
ONLY security updates will be considrred unless you have a support contract with MS.
And then they added SP1 which takes to ten years after than was released. That is why they won't do any more service packs, they know they will have to support SP2 for longer..........

NO!
Windows 7 support will END (full stop) at the end of 2019.
OPERATING systems (since Vista - they changed the rules in 2010 to support Home versions for more than 5 years) have been supported for 10 years since release - individual Service Packs are supported for only 2 years after the release of a later Pack (and for this purpose, RTM counts as a 'Service Pack 0').

(nice to see you posting again!)

The actual date for Win 7's EOL is slightly past the end of 2019; 01/14/2020 to be exact.

Go to Windows lifecycle fact sheet - Windows Help to get it from the horse's mouth.

I'm just testing SichboPVR - Free PVR software for Windows® as media center (tuner software) replacement - very impressed so far.

Hi, I hope I'm not asking this for the millionth time here, as I tried a search but am afraid it all just confused me more. I believe my problem is related to the Dell all-in-one printer I want to work with my Dell laptop. Recently, Windows updated and I now get this message again upon start up:...
