So what you have to do is RUN Media Center Set Up
    Agree to the Guide provider
Retune your channels and then you will have a guide

I hope people here have read read comments in forum:
    thegreenbutton.tv
    Media Center
    EPG Cutover

    Extensive testing/comments.

I have found testing over 8 computers of different age, difference in ability of downloading setup data.
    Same lan ota/cablecard tuners
    Same zip code.
    NEW win7/wmc install on each.

    BUT
if I do get setup data I get bad guide info, problems with series recording, etc.
I assume guide info will shake out but hardware ability to at least download setup data is totally a different problem.
Yes I have tried many different zipcodes.

I understand your issue. I myself have 2 computers on the same antenna with the same tuner types. 1 Computer has 1 tuner and has a full listing of every channel in the guide. The one with 2 tuners has no information for the CBS, NBC and CW channels. It has 2 tuners and I have been messing about for hours but it does not get the details for these stations. The guide date is sent via the internet so it is not a reception issue. What I am looking into is if there is any fancy configuration done to the channels in the past. Some kind of registry setting that is remembering the wrong information. Microsoft are just trying to pee off Windows 7 users so we downgrade to Ten :)

Perhaps the best thing to do is set the guide up and leave it alone overnight. My channel line up and details are now correct on the machine with two tuners.

That alone is reason enough for me to not downgrade to Win 10. I'm worried they will discontinue WMC support in Win 7 before its EOL.

I have done that. Right now I am swapping computers to free up older cpu/motherboard computers that install win7/wmc without problems to use as my home cablecard server and backup.
    taking time.

Never mind. I finally figured out what to do to get the stupid listings back. Now, I get to reset all my series. Joy! Why the heck can't MS keep things simple?

I only do new installs of win7/wmc to make sure it is not some virus or conflicting software.
Been two weeks of hell but I am only left with my ceton tuners are no comparable.
    HDhomeRunPrime tuners install/setup work fine.
But not Ceton's 6x lan tuner or their 4x pcie tuner.
Trying to get info from Ceton.

The new listings do not have two of my stations; bummer. Lately, MS seems to be bending over backwards to find ways to piss people off.

In that link you will find many solutions to add missing stations.
It will sort out but it might take some time.
