PlayReady "update" feature in WMCenter in Windows 7 ...

is no longer "completing"

... I have tried and tried, and tried again i get the loop and after saying it is "updating" it loops back to this image I paste below:

How do you fix this problem?
Cause unless I fix this i will not be able to use WMC the way i have used it for the last 5 years.

I would appreciate your contributions. If someone had encountered this same problem please share how you were able to fix it

Thank you kindly

Note:
Hope this thread is 'close enough' for me to post the PlayReady issue. If not I do apologize. Perusing the site did not find anything about PlayReady itself.

Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady and delete the mspr.hds file.

Then it will create a new file and you will be good to go.

Have you exited Media Center? If you have reboot, do not start media center and you should be able to delete the file. If not see the tutorial about take ownership of a file.

Tried your suggestion, error persists

File got deleted and a new one created later. Still same error message. I have ownership of the file but the PlayReady error message persists

Can Windows 7 Explorer "Filter By" feature be disabled?
Since I haven't been able to find anything that directly refers to this, I'm taking a shot in the wild blue here, in case maybe someone here knows at least enough to point me in the right direction. I am a long-time Windows XP user. But I have a couple of newer computers (including a laptop)...

Windows Explorer Navigational drop "feature"
Something that has bothered me since I installed Win7 is the way WE handles folder navigation. When one clicks on the arrow next to a folder (left pane), often, the folder drops to the bottom of the left pane. And often, there is a short delay before it does so. This irritates me to no end....
