    2 issues with 7MC

    Hi Guys,

I am quite new to the HTPC world but have done a fair bit of reasearch on these two issues and can't find anything. If anyone can advise I would appreciate it.

    1. When I add any new pictues to the the wathced pictures folder sometimes they do not appear in the library in MC, the only way I have found to fix this is to remove the watched folder, then re-add it.

    2. Some downloaded video files I am trying to watch play fine for few minutes then then playback halts and the system says it is unable to play the file. The file however plays fine in VLC so is not a corrupt file issue.

If anyone can shed any light on these annoyances it would be appreciated.

    Cheers

I would try to turn off "sleep" or low power settings (use high) and let the indexes be built after adding the files...as for video playback stopping after a while, check for updated BIOS/Drivers/codecs, which Dell will likely say do not exist.

    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to update that I am still looking into this. I am using the standard MS codecs. Unfortunately the issue only occurred on a couple of files and I can't remember which ones.

On Holiday from work over next couple of weeks so will have more time to investigate then.

    Thanks for help so far.
