Media center does not remember window position

    Hello again!

Day three of 7 Ultimate x64 and, though still getting used to some minor differences from Vista x64, everything is running smoothly!

One "quirk" I seem to have run into though, is media center does not seem to want to remember it's last position like media center in Vista did. I didn't see anything in the settings for this. Is there a way to make it remember it's "home" position?

    Thanks for reading!

by "home" position I'm just referring to the position I last left it on the desktop, for me, I like it in the top left.

It's even worse on dual monitors...

In case you are running two screens there's this...

Have you set WMC to startup with Windows?

First, I am not experiencing this, when I close WMC, it opens where it was last....the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that you have installed an application that has modified a reg key that is used to recall the position by forcing it off, for example, so that app will run full screen or in a prefered size always...

Do other windows always open in the last view?

Yes, media player classic and vlc both open in the same position I last left them. I've installed very little, only the most basics, since Doing the switch to 7 a few days ago.

I suspect then that either one, or both, or both combined, of those apps have taken control of certain reg keys and it is affecting the operation of WMC.

I will try uninstalling them and see what, if anything, changes. Thanks for the tip. It's a minor thing, but still, it's odd. . .
