Does Directv work with Media Center 7

I want to make the switch from Comcast. I searched around to see if Directv would work with media center but all I can find is article from 2008 about how Directv stopped working on making their tuner compatible. But now its a year later and I can't figure out where this stands.

Does anyone have Directv and does it work with media center 7 for recording and playback? This would be a deal killer for me if it doesn't work, but I would love to break away from Comcast.

Thanks!

The Hauppauge 2250 tuner card works in Media Center with Direct TV, I'm sure there are others as well.
