Windows 7: WMC stops responding

I installed Windows 7 two days ago. I have a Hauppaugge 950Q USB tuner stick with up to date drivers. When I start media center, it immediately stops and reports that it is "not responding". Fortunately, I still have a license to BeyondTV and it works, although it resets the color scheme to Windows 7 basic when it starts. What could be the problem?

easiest way to find out type eventvwr in search. go to window logs>application tab. Look for errors (they have red in teh left hand column) that have app hang, app crash, WMC in them. when you find them (there is a lot of data) use the snipping tool (buil into win 7 type snipping in search) to make a screen shot and upload it to us. use the attachment icon in the reply form. see pics for both

I followed your instructions, pulled the logs. I also copied the text of the log into a notepad file which you will see in the screen capture. Hope this helps.
