Corrupt recycle bin after delete in MC7

Media Center 7 is working great with my Linksys DMA2100 extender, except for two weird things:

    1. Deleting a program that has been watched from within MC causes a "Corrupt Recycle Bin" message for the "Recorded TV" storage drive on the next boot up.

    2. Letting the extender go to it's screensaver causes MC to stop responding to the extender. None of the controls on the remote do anything. You have to close MC and start it again to regain control.

Overall, MC7 is way more responsive, has better quality, and fewer quirks than Vista MC, but these two little things are puzzling. Has anyone else had these problems? Were you able to fix them?

    Thanks.

    1. If you have chosen to use the whole drive for recorded TV, there may be no room left for Recycle Bin, you may have to reduce the size of the Recorded TV folder and increase the size of the Recycle Bin, you can also adjust Recycle Bin properties to just delete and not move to Recycle Bin.

    2. Turn Screensaver off when in media mode in power settings (and probably stop entering deep sleep to keep your external devices powered)

Thanks for the advice. I set the extender's screen saver for a longer period and that solved that problem. I had to resort to turning off the recycle feature on the media drive to keep it from being corrupted. I left 50 GB of space on the drive and it would still corrupt whenever I delete a program and then reboot. Weird. It never did that on Vista.

Oh well, problem solved now, but I am curious if anyone else has seen this happen, or maybe I just have something set wrong.

On the plus side, it still is much more stable than Vista MC, so I guess I can't complain too much, lol.
