    Media Centre problem

    I am having a problem with TV Setup. I get to the "Examining TV Signals" window where I am told the process may take several minutes, But hours pass and this gets no further than all the dots on the progress bar filling in.
    I have reached this point several times and have left it overnight to no avail. I had no problem when running Vista and I am using the same aerial. I have also checked the aerial on two TV sets and tried two different aerials.

    Also my house is in a direct visual line to the BBC and ITV transmitters.

    Can anyone please help,

    Bill.

    Hi Bill;

    In your previous thread: tv tuner not available in media center, torrentg suggested finding and installing a patch for your Hauppauge 1250 tuner. Were you able to do that and what effect did it have?

    Then pfranco suggested updating or reinstalling the drivers for your Hauppauge 1250 tuner. Were you able to do that?

    If you need help with either of these suggestions, please let us know and we will do what we can.

    Cheers!
    Robert

    Hauppauge has a screen by screen view of the setup of Windows Media Center:

    Support for WinTV-HVR-1250

    scroll to the bottom of that page and download it, and review that page also!
