Playing avi movies - not able to scan forward

Hi Guys,

I'm having a problem with xvid videos playing through Media Center. I'm unable to scan through the film, the 30 second ahead works. When I click the forward button nothing happens. I've been encoding with handbrake using xvid codecs...

Can anybody shed some light on this?

Cheers

The DVR functionality in WMC requires files encoded in a manner that the application, in this case WMC, can correctly read, pause, buffer, etc. I suggest your files are not encoded in a such a manner.

Can you properly play, record, view, pause, fast forward, etc., Recorded TV in WMC? A newer DVD? If so, your hardware is likely OK.
