System specs listed. My issue here (and I hesitate to call it an issue) is while pulling HD OTA stations, FOX is dropping one channel of audio. I have a dual tuner, and (as far as I can tell) the audio for all other channels, atsc or digital, comes through just fine. I know the station is broadcasting correctly, as the clear QAM feed works fine in my house, and there's nothing wrong with the antenna, as it works fine when I hook up directly to my TV. Audio in my computer is fine everywhere else, hooked up to a stereo through an optical line. Every so often the channel will come back over the course of about 30 seconds, peak at full volume for 2 or 3, then fade back out. It's the entire station, not just the game itself, as it happens during commercials and halftime as well. Because of the above, I'm lead to believe that it's a WMC issue. It been happening for the last 2 weeks, and the audio worked as normal when I set it up, and have made no settings changes since.
Let me be clear that I do not want to fix this, I'm only asking out of curiosity. In fact I would actually be really happy to replicate the problem on CBS and NBC. Reason being is that I only use the OTA's for football, and the channel that's being dropped also happens to be the channel that the announcers use, which leaves me with nothing but game audio. It. Is. Awesome. I literally cannot put in to words how great it is to not have to listen to bad announcers sully what is otherwise a great game. And that goes doubly for when Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are on. Now I can sync up the radio feed with the game audio and have a great football viewing experience. Anyone have any thoughts on what might be happening here?
