| | Windows Firewall interfering with XBOX 360 & WMC After spending nearly 2 hours pulling my hair out wondering why my XBOX 360 could not connect to Windows Media Center, I simply turned off Windows Firewall, and BAM... success. I went through the entire process successfully, entering the ####-#### code, my PC detected the XBOX 360 as a media extender, everything... but when it came time to actually connect to WMC on my XBOX 360, it could not even find the PC. Until of course, I disabled Windows Firewall. Now, in the setup instructions, it specifically says Windows Firewall will automatically assign the exceptions for Windows Media Center. What have I done wrong? |
