Windows 7 b7057 / Windows Server 2008 / Arch Linux

- Songbird
- iTunes maybe
- WMP classic
- WMP (what's wrong with it besides the toolbar not being present anymore)
- foobar2000 if you don't have a life and want to spend time customising it

Just my opinion, but I really like a GOM Player. Try it.

Linux CENTOS 7 / various Windows OS'es and servers

VLC is nice (small and plays almost anything including DVD's etc) as has been previously suggested.

However you could try Media Monkey -- looks good too and have good reports about it.

I haven't myself actually tried it on W7. Works fine on VISTA and XP so it probably will work.

MediaMonkey » Free Media Jukebox, Music Manager, CD Ripper & Converter

Avedesk alternative?
Avedesk is being a stubborn twunt and I'm tired of trying to fix it. All I need is a program that will allow me to put shortcuts on the desktop with custom icons, preferably with adjustable sizes. Simply changing the icons is not enough. This is for an HTPC and I need the icons to be huge and...
Alternative for DVD43??
Is there an alternative for DVD43? I use to use it for XP. But I now have Windows 7 64 bit. I want to back up some dvd's (not to illegally rip, but because I have a 2 year old that can get a hold of them!) and I use DVDShrink. Thanks so much!
