Windows 7: Media Center (WIN7 version) and Vobsub application

Media Center (WIN7 version) and Vobsub application

I just bought a new HP laptop with Windows 7 on it. I also have (for over a year) an HP desktop running Vista Home Premium (32-bit). I have the Vobsub application loaded on both PCs, in order to run English subtitles (.srt files) with my .avi media files.

On my desktop, I've always had Vobsub and the subtitle (.srt) file automatically run whenever I launched my associated .avi file in Windows Media Center. (Vobsub and the .srt file also automatically run when I launch the associated .avi file in Windows Media Player.)

On my laptop, Vobsub and the .srt file do run fine with its associated .avi file, as long as I launch in Windows Media Player. However, on the laptop they do NOT do so when I launch in Windows Media Center.

I wondering if this is a Windows 7 related issue since it happens on the laptop but not the desktop. If there are some Windows Media Center settings that I need to make or adjust on my new laptop, I haven't been able to find them. Since I can watch my shows on the laptop in Windows Media Player, it's not a major problem for me..... but I would like to see the subtitles also work in Windows Media Center on my laptop.
