I know of no way to actually have a image as the video file itself.
You could name the JPEG folder and stick it w/the movie in a folder and it will show the art.
or, Save the image as a .ico and change the folder its self. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom (Self Build) OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU Intel Core i7 2700k Motherboard eVGA P67 SLI Memory 8GB Mushkin Redline Ridgebacks @1866 Graphics Card EVGA GTX570 SC Sound Card XiFi Titanium HD Monitor(s) Displays LG W2453V Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Saitek Cyborg PSU Seasonic x750 Case Corsair 600T SE White Cooling eVGA Superclocked CPU Cooler Hard Drives Intel 320 80GB -- Intel X25-V 40GB --WD Black 1TB x2 -- WD Blue 640GB Antivirus Kaspersky Browser IE Other Info LG BD/DVD |

See if this works:
You need a file named folder.jpg in each folder.
If the extension of the picture is ,jpeg, you would need to alter the registry script slightly: Quote: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\jpgfile\shell\Set as a Cover]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\jpgfile\shell\Set as a Cover\command]
@="cmd.exe /c rename \"%L\" folder.jpg"
In my case, when I navigate in Regedit to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, I find my Default association is ACDSEE.jpg.
Therefore I modified it for that Quote: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ACDSee.JPG\shell\Set as a Cover]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ACDSee.JPG\shell\Set as a Cover\command]
@="cmd.exe /c rename \"%L\" folder.jpg"
If your association is with another graphic editor, just navigate to that key and look for the default value, and substitute that for jpgfile. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Cheap $399.00 E-Machine OS Windows 7 Pro & Vista Home Premium CPU Athlon 64 3800+ (Orleans) 2.40GHz Motherboard Winfast Memory 2GB DDR2 RAM DIMM Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 512 MB memory HDMI out Sound Card creative X-Fi Exteme 7..1 channel Monitor(s) Displays Acer V223W 22" widescreen DVI Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Dell Mouse Sony Vaio PSU OCZ 550 watt Case Gateway Cooling 2 fans Hard Drives WDC WD5 500GB

All my .mp4 files show the first frame of the movie or video.
I use KmPlayer, but I don't really think that's the reason why, it's the default for .mp4 filesas far as i can tell | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Cheap $399.00 E-Machine OS Windows 7 Pro & Vista Home Premium CPU Athlon 64 3800+ (Orleans) 2.40GHz Motherboard Winfast Memory 2GB DDR2 RAM DIMM Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 512 MB memory HDMI out Sound Card creative X-Fi Exteme 7..1 channel Monitor(s) Displays Acer V223W 22" widescreen DVI Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Dell Mouse Sony Vaio PSU OCZ 550 watt Case Gateway Cooling 2 fans Hard Drives WDC WD5 500GB
