Media center and my MCE remote control

Hello, I purchased a Noah Company Mediagate GP-IR02BK remote kit.

Every feature works great on this remote except changing the channels. It says Media Center learned the remote that came with my STB (Fios DT-7000) I can change the channels through the FIOS remote but not the Media Center remote.

When I do press the channel up button, it does flicker as if it's trying to change the channel, but it stays the same.

Any ideas how I might fix this?

Make sure the MCE IR blaster is directly over the IR sensor on the set top box.

    OK

I'll try that. Right now I had it next to the USB emitter box and not the STB box.

I'll let you know if it works.
