im confuse..sorry...all i have here is the recovery disc...
Is that a recovery disc that came with your computer or a repair disc that you made in the backup and restore center?

Its a system recovery that came in a hard disk partition D:.. it makes my comp to factory settings, idk why theres an error...

Have you tried the system recovery option?

You probably need to run the sfc /scannow again.
Here's the support page for your computer, maybe that will help also,

okies good. wasn't sure 'guest' could reply.

hello, i had the same problem as you. could took these steps:
    .cmd sfc /scannow
start menu search:troubleshooting: all: media player+index
index troubleshoot gave no error but was given a corrupt media library by mediaplay troubleshoot(it said it 'fixed' it. it didn't..)
which couldn't be since search worked fine but rebuilt lib several times anyway to no avail
also rebuild, reboot, rest for the day etc to no effect.

decided since lib still worked fine. was just the search/index thing afterall.
rebuilt index several times with one, some or all of these actions taken as i found them.
    default index settings
disclude certain uneeded index/es(ie, ms database etc)
remove(close and reopen index pref dialog)and re-add index for top folder of errored folders--even added some disclude rules)--error.

started, stopped windows search service(first diasbled it from an autostart as otherwise, every explorerwindow(even without searching) restarts it..error

shiftrightclick gave an extended sendto menu: searches when navigated to had an 'index' saved search. but sendto only created a copy and though it searched okay meant that even if you deleted the original, that would still be there. so not the solution. considered about the saved search but =/

tried moving(in effect 'deleting') these two folders(after closing down search service--see above)
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Temp (..was empty)
    --nothing.

windows reg: hkey_windows/user(can't rember sorry. closed the tab..): software: search.
first backuped the registry and was about to delete/rename the key

got tired so ran a full scan with mbam and left it for the night.(all the while avg being stupid with the cookie alerts..again.)

    then i found this
    folder propertes: security tab
in the foremost parent folder of folder/s-that-won't-show-up, security permissons name/s set included 'SYSTEM' but the folder/s-that-won't-show-up---Hadn't.
So. decided before i mess with the more dos stuff/system restore/ghost/regedit etc could try that instead. added permissions. nothing. rebuilt index(yes again..)ta da. back in full and working order.

well and then had to manually go do the other folders too but better than no solution at all ><

aw hell. wrong TOPIC. with all those tabs i closed the wrong one.....................what three nights ago? gahhh/
sorry so much for spam. i hope you find your solution soon D=

    the error i had:
Could not search for files--even when knew They were there ie navigate to direct parent folder but No result?? Media player troubleshoot gave corrupt library but could search and rebuild within the lib well enough. Just not start(menu) or 'grep?'('normal' explorer search).
