    No TV Signal

I am currently have a hauppauge 950Q tuner hooked up to my windows 7 computer. I have been having a problem where after about watching tv for about 6 minutes in windows media center it says that i have no tv signal and the image stops. It then says something about low bit rate. I would really like to be able to use windows media center to watch tv but six minutes at a time kind of sucks. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would check your turner against this document and make sure it is going to work, as well as check and update all drivers: What should I know before adding TV tuners to use with Windows Media Center?.

I have the same tuner, and I ran into the same problem. Just cancel the media center installation, it will never finish ( I waited 24 hours ... ).

There is a download on hauppage that will update the tuners. It is not very specific, but I imagine it actually updates something on the tuners. You run the program, and you need to leave the tuner in the usb. I would actually plug off as much from the usb hub as possible.

After the update, the tuners work perfectly.
