Syncronized "Play to" Plugin for wmp12

For those that don't know, if you have a windows media extender device (or an xbox 360). you can remotely control what is played on it via wmp 12. Just put the device into WMC and in your wmp 12 you will see it as an option when you right click and go to play to.

Now I have an xbox 360 in my living room and each room. I would like to sync the audio playback for all devices. I know this is purposely not (for some reason) an option for wmp12 but I dont see any reason why you cant have a plugin that uses a shared playlist and sends out the same request to more than one "play to" device. The program knows the timestamp of each device independently, sounds like a few weeks of programming could have taken it into this very necessary level.

Hell I would easily even have paid extra for this feature. Alas Microsoft "almost" gets it right.

I'm assuming most of you have not played with this feature yet, so i'll let you check this out before helping me find a solution to synced playback. (this is the issue with new programs and devices, the more unique features don't get flushed out for some time)

P.S. if I can pause and play the two "play to" screen to match the audio. But the sync is lost on track change... :-/

    welcome to sevenforums =D!
Yeah, this is the new play to feature that is part of media player 12.....
I guess microsoft never expected you to want to sync playback if your other device is so far away...

transcoding and WMP support by your device....of course this is the WMC section...WMP is not WMC.

Yea, guessed it would fall under this forum because it was also dealing with WMC Extenders

Have you gotten any further with the synced 'playto' idea. I'm trying to do the same thing. Great idea!

Interesting, if that worked it could pretty much replace Muzak systems. I haven't had the need to try that, but I may mess with it this weekend when I hardwire my 360. I'm getting latency issues with my wireless on it.
