    Now Playing

This may be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway :)

When I'm watching a movie (a ripped DVD streamed from my file server) and I stop the movie it still shows up either where I stopped it in a preview window or under the now playing section. How can I completely stop a movie once I'm done?

    Any ideas?

    Hello HDRoadKing,

Second, what media program are you using? I am going to assume WMP12, because you did not specify otherwise.

Are you clicking the Stop button after you finish, or are you clicking Pause?

Sorry, first of all I'm using Win7 with WMC....

I am hitting stop and not pause (even repeatedly hitting stop). Here are some screenshots of what I mean is happening....

You could force-quit WMC by ending the process in Task Manager. Open the task manager by pressing CTRL-SHIFT-ESC.

I suppose I could, but this is on a HTPC and I only have a media center remote to control it with.
