HDHR, Media Center, and HDCP - an unhappy family

I'm having trouble watching many HD programs, both live and recorded, when I use Media Center and have my HTPC connected via HDMI. Watching live shows via QuickTV works flawlessly (it can't play back recorded shows As far as I know). Via MediaCenter, the audio is fine but the video is a near constant stream of flickers and resolution changes. These are tell-tale signs of an HDCP problem. The other obvious giveaway is that everything works great when connected via VGA.

The install is the default x32 Windows 7 Ultimate, and the drivers for the hardware are all the latest and greatest as of last week.

What can I do to fix this?
