    every track is listed twice?

All my tracks seem to show up twice, also very short clips (like ringtones) seem to have been found and entered too.

Two questions - is there a menu that has a 'delete identical tracks' or doublers and is there a way to tell it not to list any tracks less than say 2 minutes?

    Thanks

Thanks for that, it did clear everything out... but then it added them all back in again! A thought, could it be picking up the I-tunes folder and adding them all in from there?

I went in and deleted all the libraries - thinking it wouldn't know where to look!! Seems to have worked for music but video and pictures are both still full of stuff and won't delete either? trying delete from library not computer but nothing happens??

I had the same problem... miknho (creator of Yammm) solved the issue for me.

You must have created a sub-folder inside of My Videos or similar. Move that folder out of it's parent folder and it will solve your issue!

I think it's in a previous folder of I-Tunes music!

    Thanks all,

    Thanks all,
Well part of the issue is you posted this under Media Center.... do you mean every track listed twice in Media Center or in iTunes? If its Media Center, you need to see if you have your Music Library set to the directory My Music and also your iTunes directory... if so, remove the check from one of those dirs.

Yeh, I meant to. The issue was with Media Player but it turned out it was I-Tunes that was causing it.

    Thanks again.

I find it amusing that Msoft tell you to re-search the computer on Auto instead of pointing at a single music folder on the drive.

It will just reinstall duplicates of your Mp3's again (as you found out) from duplicate folders.

So the thing to do, is go in options>Library and tell Media player just to look in the music folder that you point it to!
Delete all the lines linking to other music folders it found on 'Auto'

If you have created another music folder on your PC (as a backup) it obviously won't search in there too (and re_create the annoying duplicates).
