cannot get internet tv guide working. uk

Ok really hope someone can help me! i recently upgraded my sony vaio fw21l to windows 7 home premium. I cannot get the internet tv guide or any channels in media center. I have high speed wireless broadband, i have done the intial set up and set my automatic download options to all the time while also manually checking for downloads. It says the download was successful everytime i do this. i have an option for guide in tv menu, however when i click on it it just gives the sky player channels and no guide, no search option and none of the free content as advertised. I am no expert on computers and im sure its just an upgrade of download that i need in order for the service to work properly but i really am stuck on what to do because i have followed all the neccessary steps that the media center site tells me too and still no joy! If anyone can helkp me with this I would be really, really grateful as this feature is the main reason i upgraded my o.s. Yours hopefully imb8160

Well, I've managed to get Hulu working from with WMC, the Box appears under extras, and the min 5Mbp/s for HQ requirement is met.

It does work, but it kills the bandwidth for the rest of my network

you could buy a new TV that has a Computer input like VGA, DVI, HDMI, depending on what your computer can output and then connect your computer to the TV. TV Bracket|TV Wall Mounting
