What's the best extender for Win7 WMC???

I am digitizing my entire collection of DVDs in preparation for adding WMC extenders to several of my TVs. Now after searching the Internet, it appears many manufacturers are discontinuing their extenders (Linksys & Netgear).

I really dont want to drop all the cash for an XBOX... what are my other choices? What do you all use? Do any of the new BlueRay players include WMC extender functions? I know that some of the new BD players support streaming for Netflix... do any connect to your movie collection on a PC or NAS?

    Hello Darryl

I have all my DVDs and Music stored on a Netgear ReadyNas Duo and use the Netgear EVA9150 media player.

    Hope this helps.

The only produced extender you can buy new is the Xbox. you can still pick up some like the DMA 2100 new, but no support, no updates, etc. If you don't need full MC expericnce you could something liekthe WD Live TV HD, those are pretty nice for around $100 or so.

    Hello

Im in the same boat as you and one of the main points I enjoy from W7 WMC is the ability to share recorded programs, so I used a laptop with W7 on it as an extender hooked straight into the TV and with a Avermedia twinstar as a tuner, but this is just a holding position until I see a WMC extender that delivers what it promises, the D-Link DSM-750 spec hits the mark but still too many issues.

Im hoping Im missing something and that the answer is out there!

    Best of luck
