I've heard good things on this forum about shark007. Yeah, if you do get the error again it would be good to see what it says, cheers

For some reason I can't get it to work at all now, it sort of half loads and just freezes and the only way to close it is going to task manager to kill it. I did enable the Guest account to see if it was working on a different account and seems to be working fine on the other account, just won't work on my main account. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Brew OS Windows 7 Ultimate Vista Ultimate x64 CPU Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16Ghz @ 3.8Ghz Motherboard eVGA 750i FTW Memory 2x2Gigs Patriot PC2-6400 LL Graphics Card Inno3D GeForce GTX260 216 SP Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VW222U 22" 2ms Response time Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard Mouse Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse PSU HYTEC 600W & Thermaltake 650W Toughpower Power Exp Case Thermaltake Armor LCS (Liquid Cooling System) Cooling Liquid Cooling System Hard Drives SATA 150GB

Attachment 7495 Close WMP12, use task manager to kill wmpnetwk.exe (you'll have to view all users to see it) and immediately delete your prefs folder %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player before Windows restarts wmpnetwk.exe. You can also try control panel/troubleshooting/programs/windows media player library to do the same thing but I'm not positive that works right yet. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number baarod/MCP OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit CPU Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.6GHz 9x400FSB Motherboard Gigabyte G33M-S2H Memory 4GB DDR2 1066 Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4670 Sound Card Integrated Azalia Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL1711 Screen Resolution 1280x1024 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 4000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Lasr Mouse 5000 PSU 240W TFX Case InWin BT566 Cooling Intel Retail Stock Hard Drives OCZ Vertex SATAII w/ 1.5FW 30,528MB system and apps

I've had this before, but it soon sorted itself out after killing the process in task manager then restarting my laptop. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Compaq Desktop OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Sempron Dual Core Memory 3GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 Screen Resolution 1024x768 Hard Drives 150GB Sata |

Thanks Baarod and Orbital Shark, I had already gone to that folder and deleted all the files in there but it didn't change anything at first but I just tried a restart in case that made a difference and now it's working again, so thanks to both of you for the help, I would still like to know why that happens though. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Brew OS Windows 7 Ultimate Vista Ultimate x64 CPU Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16Ghz @ 3.8Ghz Motherboard eVGA 750i FTW Memory 2x2Gigs Patriot PC2-6400 LL Graphics Card Inno3D GeForce GTX260 216 SP Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VW222U 22" 2ms Response time Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard Mouse Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse PSU HYTEC 600W & Thermaltake 650W Toughpower Power Exp Case Thermaltake Armor LCS (Liquid Cooling System) Cooling Liquid Cooling System Hard Drives SATA 150GB

I put it down to an issue retrieving the library data, as i've removed a lot of files/folders from my music/pictures/video library i've not had that issue again. I found it to happen more in builds 7048 & 7057 though. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Compaq Desktop OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Sempron Dual Core Memory 3GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 Screen Resolution 1024x768 Hard Drives 150GB Sata |

Mediacoder doesn't register any codec that may mess up your install and the install folder is pretty portable like AVIDemux. It can also rely on external plugin installed by other third party softwares, but you can also copy the needed files in the mediacoder plugin directory and never need to have that third party software installed again. Though, I could be wrong as I only tested it with the CT ACC pluging that's installed with Winamp.
just downloaded AVIDemux to compare and it looks a lot easier to use than Mediacoder it just doesn't have as many options. | My System Specs | | |
