I could drop the tuner, but don't really want to, because this monitor is for my secondary rig, which will be in the bedroom, when I get everything setup. I could use the TV tuner in the computer, but since I intend to only use terresterial signals for TV, instead of cable, I need a coaxial connection for the antenna (also the converter, if no tuner), so I will probably stick with the built-in tuner.

I don't think so. It doesn't have enough data given about it, and it lacks a DVI connection, which I would feel more comfortable if it had one, plus the reviews were not exactly glowing. The only pluses over the LG that I see are cost and response time. My Acer only has 5ms, and so far I haven't found that to be a problem.

Honestly the only time I seem to notice response time differences is when watching Football, and they are showing the whole line. The fast action onsthe snap makes the corners of players blur on slower Tvs.

Maybe that's the reason that I've never noticed a problem, because I never watch football games. However, there are some movies that have some very fast action in them, and I haven't noticed any blurring.

My LG TV finally arrived, after a lot of delays. First, when I tried to order it the first time, they had sold out the day before. The reason that I hadn't ordered it before, was because that since the TigerDirect sales person didn't know anything more than I did about whether the leg of the stand was removable, I had to call LG. The rep that I spoke with there assured me that it was removable, so when TD had it in stock again, I went ahead with the order.

Somehow, TD sent the unit to my old address, instead of the current one. Fortunately, that was to another apt in the same complex where I live. Since TD was unable to reroute the TV, because of it being paid for via PayPal, I went to my old apartment to see if the occupant would accept the shipment for me. When I learned that he was in the hospital, I stuck a note on his door to advise UPS to deliver it where I live instead.

When it hadn't arrived at ~5:30 PM, I went back to the old apt. to see if they had dropped the package there and whether my note was still pinned to the door. No package, but the note was still pinned. I had just about given up on it being delivered as scheduled, when someone knocked on my door, and he had my TV. He said that UPS had simply put the package at the old apt's door, apparently without even knocking on the door, because the resident there had returned from the hospital and was at home.

I haven't connected it to the PC, but I did fire it up on an antenna, and it appears to be good. No dead pixels and as far as I have determined, no other problems. I did notice that it does pick up a couple of channels that I couldn't receive when I was going through a converter, though they are somewhat off. I think that I could fix that with a better antenna, but those particular channels are not especially important to me, so that is something I've put on the back burner.

So far, so good.

EDIT: There is one problem...despite the assurance from the LG rep, the base of the stand is removable, but the leg is not. It's not as bad as my Acer monitor, because that leg is shorter and less conspicuous, but I'm still disappointed, yet not enough to return it.
