    Message on MC startup

Every time I start WMC (in Windows 7), I get the following message: "Windows Media Center has corrected a problem with your recording data and will download the guide again. You should review your recordings to verify they are still scheduled correctly." I have tried removing all scheduled recordings, downloading the Guide again, but to no avail. Any ideas.
    Thanks and regards,
    Santi

    Welcome.
I had something similiar about a month ago and decided to do a full MC uninstall. Cleaned up anything left over on the HD and also cleaned the Registry with CCleaner. Then did a full new install and downlaoded the new TV guide etc. All worked out but it did take about 1 hr to complete which included all the downlaod guide stuff.

Here is a link to the steps that someone already wrote.
    Uninstall and Reinstall Media Center

    That's it.
    Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the suggestion! However, after following all the steps, the error message is still here. I'll keep digging.

I found a way to get rid of that annoying message:

Go here in registry: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\RecoveryTasks
Make a backup of this branch.
There are probably some LastAction string values in the subkeys ObjectStoreRecoveryTask, OOBERecoveryTask etc. and in my setup, there were other keys with different date formats. Delete all that so there is only LastActionCheck string values left.
Reboot and see if it is gone.

It have worked for me - twice.

I've had this problem last week (probably after a driver error BSOD freezing my PC) and WMC on startup was giving me the same error + three other errors subsequently. Last error suggested me to completely reinstall WMC because of a severe error (!).

I tried anything including uninstall/reinstall of WMC but my solution was to delete contents in
    "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\Packages\EpgListings"
