    media center fails to work

ok place to start is technicle

    mke/model IBM thinkpad T23
RAM 757MB (soon upgrading to 1gb)
video details - super savage s3
    video ram 16MB
    hdd - 30GB
    windows 7 build, unknown.

problem - media center gadget starts but freezes immediatly
media center returns "media center cannot start" via start menu

so basicaly it just doesnt want to work, i understand the graphics card may be an issue but it cant be upgraded, its hardwired into the motherboard. and windows 7 seems to co-operate quite well with it for everything else that doesnt demand to much rendering (i dont know how to turn rendering on though so if someone can point me to that it'd be great)

From Windows XP editions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia we see that the Video RAM requirements for MCE *XP* was 256 MB....

I would assume that your 16 MB simply cannot handle the pressure of the WMC embedded in Win7....
