    FLV in WMC

I have everything setup so that FLV files appear and play properly in WMP. They also appear in the library for WMC but when attempting to play the file it says WMC can not find the file. I had this issue with WMP in WinXP and would simply restart the file and the movie would play. I never resolved it there because I spend more time in Win7 now.

Does anyone have a working solution to this or is it a failure on the part of WMC?

my guess would be that you have an x64 Operating System but have not yet installed the Shark007.net - Windows 7 x64 Codecs - WMP12 Codecs
Or maybe you just need to use the Windows File Association button on the Help TAB

    Thanks,

You are correct that I have x64 and I didn't install the x64 addon. I didn't see the download link and thought it came with the first part.

Thanks for the hard work and support!

It would be better if they can really make WMP play more audio and video formats, this FLV file is usually the format when you download videos from Youtube so if you can get these FLV files to work on WMP, certainly, it would be a huge relief. I personally would stick to Windows Media Player and I don't plan to install a new media player.
