Hi Guys trying to find the latest Media Browser (what version is it?) and how do you download the new Vanilla 2.1.2.0 Alpha

Hi Wolfzz - the latest version is v2.1.1.0 (called FIRESTORM), and is downloadable from here.

You need to add in the plugin_info.xml file to MediaBrowser and Vanilla 2.0 should become available.

Thanks CBers I will give it a go by the way do I have to uninstall the older version of Media Browser or just install over the top.

Hi Wolfzz - no, straight over the top will be fine.

Remember what your current settings are, as the new version does not seem to retain them for some reason !!

Hi guys, thanks to this board I have been able to run mediabrowser for all my movies and videos. However, is anyone using it for their recorded TV as well? I have seen people using it for tv boxsets and series, but how about regular recorded TV from media center? Can media browser be used to automatically get images and data from the wtv/dvr-ms files?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm a retard. I didn't realize there already was a DVR-MS plugin.

use the config tool for all your vf's and to use them for plugin's icons, you you need to have the imagesbyname setup. C:\ProgramData\MediaBrowser\Imagesbyname\General\Film Trailers\folder.png
and so on for each plugin name.

Now I have this already C:\ProgramData\MediaBrowser\Imagesbyname
and I just want to set up say Blu-Rays, Chick Flicks, DVD Movies etc do I just make folders up with those names and put the folder.png in them or do they all have to go in a folder called General, as my Imagesbyname folder has all the people's names.

To add icons to your movies tab, or any other tab that you created with the config tool. You use the config tool to set those icons. Run the tool and click on your Movie tab on the left, then on the right you will see ADD Image. Press that button and set the icon. Then move to the next and so on.
