Well, I´ve been ripping some of my DVd´s to my computer and am finding it annoying with some movies in WMC.
Some, either appear as solid colors, while others show a bit of the startup.
I would like to add a cover for those movies, or posters...how do I do that?
I personally have been using MyMovies My Movies - Home for cover art. It is a plugin that works with WMC. It will give you a seperate Menu bar labeled My Movies. Take the time to read about it on there site. If you are only going to use it for the cover art then it is a free program. If you want the other features it has to offer then you will have to pay some fees for stuff. But with my movies it eliminates the need to the default Library menu bar. You can use Media Center Studio Media Center Studio to customize the menu bars with in WMC. Hope this helps.
i can give you my manual method. But it is only good for separating via folders and depending on the folder for the pretty picture.
Step 1. Know the title of your movie.
Step 2. Search that title at imdb.com Or amazon.com
Step 3. You see the thumbnails used by these sites? Steal them... by Right-Clicking and "Save image as.."
Step 4. The file will have a weird filename... you must rename it to "folder.jpg" for WMC to treat it like a "cover" rather than a normal picture. It tells WMC to treat that pic like it's an icon.. It should be all lowercase. If the file is jpeg change the extension to jpg.. It will still function fine.
Step 5. You must Give each Movie file it's own folder.
Example: c:/videos/Spider-Man [2002] Divx/Spider-Man.avi
Step 6. Move that "folder.jpg" to the folder of your movie.
c:/videos/Spider-Man [2002] Divx/folder.jpg
When you are done your list of movies will now be a list of folders that are made to look like covers.
