    Windows DVD maker

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

I created 2 DVDs in Windows DVD maker with the exact same settings:

    Aspect Ratio: 16:9
    Region: Pal
    Burnspeed: Slow

    I now have 1 widescreen movie & 1 stuck in 4:3

    Any thoughts?

Maybe MS hasn't mastered the PAL format yet?

Aspect Ratio Errors in Windows DVD Maker

Hello, I am also having the same issue with DVD maker. It's a great program and the menus are fantastic, but whenever I attempt to burn a 16:9 movie, it comes out as 4:3 and obviously distorts the video. What's also odd about this, is when I preview the DVD in the program, it looks just fine like it is going to burn it as 16:9.

I have obviously tried adjusting the settings. It sounds also like this issue was happening for people who has Vista Ultimate. The thread below says to use Windows Movie Maker and then save it, then open Windows DVD Maker. The problem for me is, with Windows 7; I don't believe I have movie maker.
Windows DVD Maker - I am having trouble with the aspect ratio.

It's not just a PAL problem, because it happens to me in NTSC. Please help.

    Thanks!
