Windows 7: VLC and built in Pause/Play/Skip buttons

VLC and built in Pause/Play/Skip buttons

How can I program the Pause/Play, skip forward and backward buttons near the top of my keyboard (Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5965) to work with VLC. They only work with WMP.

its just a old certificate. it leads to a 404 anyway
