low volume on Live TV on WMC

    Hi guys,

i keep having volume issues with the Windows Media Center. For some reason, it is pretty low eventhough it is maxed out (see attachment).

I am using an analog TV tuner - everything is working fine, except the volume.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks,
    Lennart

Try going to settings>>TV>>audio>>uncheck "theater sound" and "auto volume">>then check "night mode" under Dolby decoder setting.

This basically uses dynamic range compression and volume boost on live TV. It should be louder for you.

    Thanks for you help!

In the WMC-TV-Audio settings, Dolby-decoder is greyed out on Night Mode (i cant change it). Seems as Dolby is somehow deactivated for my analog tuner. Automatic volume regulation is deactivated as well.

Sound Quality was already set to DVD Quality.

Its not a generel problem - WMP plays loud/normal. Just Live-TV is messed up
