Missing Movies in WMC7 - Only showing mp4, m4v, mov

Hi Guys,

I am able to see and play all my movies through the videos section in windows media center (x64 Ultimate). However when I add the folder to the movies section it only lists a couple and these are of the file type:mp4, m4v, mov. None of my avi's are listed.

I've just added the exact folder from another computer over the network with the exact same settings and software and it correctly lists all the movies.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the codecs to play divx and xvid. None of these are showing up. I know that wmc7 should natively support these anyway.

The weird part is that they show up in the videos section of WMC but not in the movie section of WMC.

Any ideas?

Is there a way I can re-install/repair WMC without having to re-install/repair windows 7?
