Some Newb Questions about MCE 7

    Hey guys,

Got a few questions about m new MCE install and was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

First question is about Remotes. Does anyone know a good MCE remote that will also control the TV power/volume that doesn't require a separate IR nub for the TV? I've tried two remotes so far, one from AVS Gear and another from Mediagate. Both work great for controlling MCE, but are a giant pain to get the TV working with. Aren't there any MCE remotes out there that just have a second power button for the TV?

Second question is somewhat related, keyboard/mice combos. Any suggestions on wireless units?

Final question is just something weird I've seen. I went through my music collection and tagged all my MP3's, inculding cover art. I see everything in MCE, but for some reason, a good half of them are garbled and just not showing up right. I know they're all JPG's. Should cover art be a certain size or something?

    Thanks in advance?

I use the adesso vista vista remote. there 20.00 on tigerdirect.com It does work good and it has a mouse pad on it.

Adesso ARC-1100 Windows Vista Media Center Remote Control - 46 Keys, Infrared, USB at TigerDirect.com

i also is a iogear mce wireless keyboard. its not the best keyboard but its ok. sometimes you have to press the mouse button 6 times to get it to work.

Hmm, that one looks good. I think I found the same one by a different manufacturer over on Amazon for $5 less.

Amazon.com: Windows 7 Vista XP Media Center MCE PC Remote Control and Infrared Receiver for Home, Premium and Ultimate Edition: Electronics

None of the descriptions mention anything about controlling TV power/volume. Can it do that?

They control the volume of the computer but not the tv. Theres no power off button on them for the tv. Wished it did have a power off button.

I just set the volume of my tv high and use the volume on the remote to control the computers volume.

it does have computer sleep button.
