No Sound for live TV or recorded TV

I have a Hauppauge 2250 TV card. Just installed Windows 7 x64 Professional. Upgraged all my MB drivers and the tv card drivers. When I open media center and click on Live TV, I have no sound. I have sound all throughout Windows 7, just not in media center, live TV.
Does anyone have any ideas? I have been through the Media Center setup several times.

Try doing system restore before the time you upgraded your drivers, especially before you upgraded your sound drivers. That would be your best option.

I'm considering re-purposing my rig and making it a DVR/HTPC. Yes, it's a little overpowered but I'm getting disenchanted with gaming and figured I'd get better use of it this way. I plan on getting the Ceton InfiniTV4 for my tuner and keeping the GTX470 for the output card. As the subject...

Best recorded live tv compression software?
The problem: I recorded a really good film I want to keep. The file is just over 5GB. I want to compress it to about 20% of that with minimal loss of quality. I've been looking on line for several days. I found MCEBuddy, but am having trouble getting it to work.

Recorded TV or Live TV over Network
I spent hours trying to access recorded tv on the main computer with Windows Media Center on another computer. I could find it only with Media Player, but I do not want to use that (no zoom). How about accessing the TV tuner over the network from Media Center on another Windows 7 computer? ...

Been having issues almost from day 1 with my HTPC locking up while playing live TV but now it seems to have migrated to recorded TV as well. As a side note i can play all media files and types thru TMT5 including the recorded TV funny that WMC records the program then can't play it. I have...

live/recorded tv won't play
