Media Center opens every time I insert/eject dvd/cd

Whenever a put a dvd or cd (blank, or with content) in my drive media center opens up (sometimes even twice!) and whenever I eject the media, MC opens again...

This is starting to get really annoying since I don't really use MC. Is there a way to disable MC from opening everytime I insert/eject something from my drive?

Go to My Computer, then right-click the DVD drive, click Properties, go to the Autoplay tab, and mark the circle which says "Prompt me each time...".

When I go to properties on the drive there is no autoplay tab.

You have an ASUS Laptop right? Does it have media buttons above the keyboard? These buttons are controlled by DMedia.exe. Ending this process should stop your problem, but those buttons won't work after. A Guy

Thanks A Guy, this fixed the problem I was having. I completely uninstalled the asus atk media application since the only thing it seemed to control were those top media buttons which I haven't used once in the four years I've had my laptop.

Hey thanks ath1337, glad you posted back. I was especially happy to find that answer for you. Was wondering if you'd seen it. Glad you got it sorted, and I was able to help (gotta love Seven Forums :))
