Windows 7: WMP Duplicate copies of each song

Hi,

Every version of WMP i have used lately does the same thing, instead of having one copy of each song in my library there is 2, 3 or even more. Is there any way to remove these duplicates without deleting each one manually ? Not only would that take forever but then WMP would just find more copies and import them.

Sounds like you need to do a little file housekeeping. If WMP is finding duplicate songs, it probably means you have them in more than one place on your hard drive. Looking at the Properties of these duplicate files should tell you where the files are located, and give you a place to start.
