Is there any error messages? Have you got the latest codecs? MKV files are not natively supported by Windows & conversion to MP4/MOV also requires quicktime.

Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs might help

What I'm looking for is a batch converter that'll take mkvs and turn them into *.m2ts for extender playback. Any recommendations? Bonus points if it can automatically detect DTS and convert to Dolby Digital, and double extra bonus points with dealer incentive cash for getting softsubs into the m2ts for extender playback.
