Windows 7 - Extender with PC client

Hello, it's been one hour that I'm trying to understand what I can do and what I can't do with media center.

I'm currently running Windows 7 RC1. I just tried media center, I never tried since December. At last it works with my Hauppage PVR-USB2. It was not working with Windows Vista.

Now I would like to make it work on another PC. I currently use GBPVR to "share" my TV tuner with my girlfriend's computer. It does work with GBPVR, she can watch the TV while I'm playing UT3. But there are a few problems related to Windows 7 and GBPVR network management.

I can see that Windows Media Center Extender is used in a few devices to stream medias. But I can't figure if we can have a PC connecting to the extender. If we can, could anybody here tell me where to start? I will probably find my way after that.

the media exender connects ONLY to a pc that has MC on it. It doesnt need to be running in order the extender to connect, but the pc the media is stored on, needs to be on. If you manage your WMP library, and add files that way, you will be able to view your WMP library thru the extender. You can also view any other shared media folders on the network as well.

thank you for answering me. But I don't think I was clear enough, my goal is to watch TV from another computer, changing channels and scheduling a recording.

I can do that easily with GBPVR, but this software is not fully supported in Windows 7 yet. I find Media Center to handle well my TV card.
