Windows 7 Desktop Projection

I've had my media center PC setup for a few months now and am just getting back to putting some finishing touches on it. My main question right now is with the quality of the Windows 7 Desktop on the projection screen. I have the setting from this link Make the text on your screen larger or smaller set to 150%.

Even after that, the image still looks like crap. Does anyone know of a way to correct this. The Media Center application and movies look perfect. It's on the standard desktop and normal computer application that are difficult to see. Seems like there should be a way to improve this. I've been to numerous Microsoft launch events where they project a HUGE image of the windows desktop and it always looks great.

Any comments would be welcomed.
